Software Engineering Intern (6 Months)
Location: Bangalore, India
Internship Duration: January – June 2025
Stipend: ₹75,000 per month

Internship Role Overview:
As a Software Engineering Intern, you’ll work with various technology teams such as Search and Recommendations, Storefront Tech, Supply Chain Retail Tech, Marketing Technology, Data & ML Platforms, Employee & Enterprise Technology, Infrastructure and Platform Tech, and Global Supplier Tech. You’ll gain hands-on experience by working alongside talented professionals in a dynamic, agile, and cross-functional environment. Your work will involve building, deploying, and improving applications, web services, and data systems to elevate the shopping experience for millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development & Collaboration: Work on applications and web services in collaboration with Product, Design, Analytics, and business teams.
- Autonomy & Ownership: Independently develop projects or tools that will support team objectives and the overall user experience.
- Problem-Solving: Engage in full-stack and/or mobile development to solve real-world challenges for Wayfair’s customers.
- Exposure to Technologies: Potential exposure to SQL, JavaScript, Python, and HTML/CSS.
- Debugging & Testing: Ensure code quality and reliability by performing thorough testing and debugging.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Education: Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Computer Science or a related field.
- Academic Performance: Strong academic track record.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge or experience with full-stack or mobile development and object-oriented programming.
- Preferred Knowledge: Exposure to SQL, JavaScript, Python, HTML/CSS (not mandatory for all teams).
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to work autonomously.
- Availability: Able to commit to a full-time, 6-month on-site internship from January to June 2025 in Bangalore.
