The Opportunity
PhonePe’s 650+ member engineering team in India has built a high-performance transaction system with best-in-class speed and reliability. The next phase of growth requires continued excellence in mobile app performance, scalability, and reliability while addressing the challenges posed by diverse mobile devices and networks.
The App Platform US Team focuses on building core systems that improve efficiency for 200+ PhonePe app engineers, including:
- Release infrastructure
- Automation platform
- Experimentation platform
- Critical mobile SDKs (Android & iOS)
- New technology exploration (On-device ML, GenAI, etc.)
This role is ideal for engineers passionate about mobile platforms, high-scale systems, and impactful development.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of mobile applications.
- Collaborate with team members to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Learn and adapt quickly to new technologies and methodologies.
- Work independently while remaining flexible and responsive to changing needs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Strong interest in mobile development and technology.
- 0-2 years of experience in a related field.
- Eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and adapting to new challenges.
