Role Overview: Observability Engineer
As part of the Cloud Platform Engineering Team, you’ll focus on designing and maintaining observability infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. Your work ensures Motorola’s SaaS platforms are reliable, scalable, and transparent.
You will use Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and containerization platforms like Kubernetes to monitor system performance, spot inefficiencies, and support mission-critical cloud services.
Key Responsibilities

Architect and implement observability systems using Elastic, Prometheus, and related tools.

Monitor and enhance infrastructure for cloud, hybrid, and on-premise environments.

Script automation solutions using Python or Bash.

Support containerized workloads using Docker, Podman, MicroShift, Kubernetes.

Collaborate cross-functionally to improve monitoring, diagnostics, and system health.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.

3+ years (BS) or 2+ years (MS) of professional experience.

Proven hands-on knowledge of Elastic and Prometheus observability stacks.

Familiarity with cloud architecture, Linux, and container platforms.
