Job Overview
As an IT Testing Engineer I at Conduent, you will contribute to technical projects by performing testing activities. This role requires the ability to work independently while collaborating with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems by identifying, testing, and resolving issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with Business Analysts and Subject Matter Experts to analyze requirements and identify testing conditions.
- Test Planning and Case Creation: Develop and conduct peer reviews of test cases and test plans to ensure thoroughness.
- Test Execution: Execute both manual and automated tests as per Test Plans, and document outcomes.
- Defect Management: Report defects, evaluate test results, retest, validate, and manage issue resolution.
- Daily Reporting: Submit daily status reports and identify potential risks.
- Coordination: Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams and manage day-to-day implementation of GTS test processes.
- Learning and Development: Complete assigned courses related to technical or domain knowledge within the specified timeframe.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in both manual and automated testing.
- Strong conceptual understanding of testing theories, practices, and procedures.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to follow established procedures to solve standard issues and use deductive reasoning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication skills to exchange information effectively and ensure understanding.
- Business Knowledge: General knowledge of business operations and experience in a technical environment.
