Role Overview:

As a Developer Associate, you will work on enhancing SAP’s ABAP Platform, enabling partners and customers to maximize the value of SAP technologies. This role involves developing and validating cloud-ready features, supporting clients in Asia-Pacific and Japan, and creating materials such as blogs, tutorials, and best-practice guides.

What You’ll Do:

Learn and work on ABAP Cloud, building cloud-ready applications.
Test and validate ABAP features, focusing on quality and usability.
Conduct workshops, consulting hours, and Q&A sessions for partners and customers.
Assist with queries related to ABAP Cloud, including RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP) and S/4HANA Cloud Extensibility.
Develop and enhance reference applications used for demos and internal/external resources.
Write and publish best-practice guides for setup processes.
Tackle complex problems using standard programming concepts.
Participate in design, development, and problem-solving activities.

What You Bring:

Experience: 0-3 years, with a Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
Programming Skills: Strong in programming, object-oriented design, algorithms, and data structures.
Quality Focus: Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions.
Problem Solving: Analytical skills and a logical approach to troubleshooting.

You will join the ABAP Platform Enablement and Integration team within the BTP ABAP Developer Tools unit.
The team focuses on maximizing the value for partners and customers developing with ABAP, enhancing the SAP S/4HANA Cloud and BTP ABAP Environment.
You will play a key role in developing and testing features, acting as the first customer to ensure the product’s quality and integration.
