Integration Engineer – Merchant Integration

About the Role
As an Integration Engineer – Merchant Integration, you will work closely with merchants to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to payment integrations. This role involves working collaboratively with developers and internal teams to deliver efficient solutions. A strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a passion for resolving complex challenges are key to succeeding in this role.
Responsibilities
- Technical Support & Consulting:
- Assist merchants with technical integration, troubleshooting, and best practices during pre- and post-integration phases.
- Address technical queries related to payment APIs, platforms, and plugins for payments and transactions.
- Merchant Communication:
- Serve as the primary technical contact for merchants, ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- Enhance the merchant experience by providing proactive and reliable support for technical issues.
- Problem Analysis & Resolution:
- Analyze logs to identify patterns, underlying problems, and root causes of product defects.
- Collaborate with developers to provide quick resolutions when necessary.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Escalate recurring issues to the product team and contribute to improving overall product quality.
- Work with internal teams to optimize merchant onboarding and integration processes.
Required Skills & Experience
- Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in web development using one or more languages:
Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, VB.NET, PHP, or Python. - Hands-on experience with SOAP/REST APIs and knowledge of integrating various payment flows.
- Proficiency in web development using one or more languages:
- Analytical Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and the ability to analyze logs for recurring issues.
- Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, KIBANA, DB SQL, and basic Linux/AIX commands.
- Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Interpersonal Skills:
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, merchants, and developers.
- A customer-focused mindset with good interpersonal and care skills.
- Educational Qualification:
- A Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a technical field).
