The AI Software Engineer, Copilots role at NVIDIA is a unique opportunity for recent graduates passionate about AI and eager to contribute to next-generation AI copilots. This position is open to 2024 college graduates and is based in Seattle, WA, or Santa Clara, CA.
About the Role
As an AI Software Engineer, you’ll be part of NVIDIA’s Copilots for Compute (C4C) initiative, an ambitious project focused on creating AI copilots to streamline compute-heavy tasks, optimize AI infrastructure, and enhance hardware-software integration. These copilots will contribute to NVIDIA’s flagship GPU and software roadmaps, accelerating workflows for both internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Design and Develop AI Copilot Models: Train and deploy AI models tailored for real-world applications, focusing on data preparation, model fine-tuning, and deployment.
- Innovate Through Research: Conduct research on state-of-the-art AI techniques and build functional prototypes.
- Implement Full-Stack Copilot Solutions: Ensure performance-optimized implementations for varied hardware and software applications.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Work with researchers, engineers, and product managers to meet project goals.
- Test and Evaluate Models: Develop testing protocols, assess models’ performance, and drive improvements.
- Code Quality Assurance: Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, AI, Applied Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Python and PyTorch.
- Strong foundation in deep learning and hands-on experience with LLMs and Reinforcement Learning.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in AI system development, especially in software, hardware, or large-scale computing.
- Expertise in C++, CUDA, and GPU programming, with knowledge of chip design and computer architecture.
- Familiarity with GenAI and advanced LLM technologies, especially in the context of AI and hardware integration.
Salary and Benefits
- Base Salary Range: $104,000 – $230,000, based on experience, location, and internal equity.
