The role focuses on managing and optimizing clients’ cloud infrastructure by proactively monitoring systems, addressing incidents, and providing Level 2 support. Engineers will work to ensure service quality, manage service requests, and assist with projects as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Proactively monitor work queues, address incidents, and perform operational tasks within agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
- Incident & Request Management: Investigate issues, analyze errors, and resolve incidents efficiently. Log and update tickets with resolution details.
- Second-Level Support: Provide second-tier support, identify root causes, and communicate with other teams and clients for extended support.
- Change Management: Execute changes with risk mitigation plans, document changes, and follow the shift handover process.
- Automation & Optimization: Collaborate with automation teams to optimize routine tasks and coach Service Desk and L1 teams.
- Problem Management: Identify potential issues before they affect services and contribute to knowledge articles and quality improvements.
- Client Engagement: Lead client escalations, plan and execute maintenance activities, and ensure a positive client experience.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology/Computing or equivalent work experience.
- Preferred Certifications:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- AWS Certified: Solutions Architect Associate
- Veeam Certified Engineer
- VMware Certified Professional: Data Centre Virtualization
- Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
- Other relevant certifications
Required Experience
- Experience in managed services, preferably with ticketing tools like ServiceNow.
- Knowledge in managing platforms such as:
- Windows and Linux Server Administration
- Virtualization and Server Hardware
- Storage Administration
- Familiarity with concepts like management agents, redundancy, and domain-specific products (Network, Data Centre, Telephony, Exchange, Cloud, etc.).
