Role Overview – Software Engineer

As a Software Engineer in the Data Estate team, you will design and build internal tools and applications that ensure data quality, operational efficiency, and innovative enterprise solutions.

You’ll work on full-stack development, from crafting modern UI applications to building robust backend APIs and integrating cloud-based infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• UI Development: Build and maintain internal tools using frameworks like React, Angular, Vue.js, or Retool.

• Backend Development: Develop APIs, Lambda functions, and services for seamless data operations.

• Database Management: Work with SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, or DynamoDB.

• Cloud Solutions: Design and optimize systems on AWS cloud infrastructure.

• UX/UI Integration: Translate design mockups into fully functional, responsive interfaces.

• Performance Optimization: Ensure UI scalability and high performance.

• Agile Collaboration: Participate in sprints, code reviews, and maintain coding standards.

• Testing & Deployment: Conduct usability tests and develop scripts for deployment and maintenance.

• Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and data engineering teams.

Skills & Competencies

• Experience with UI frameworks (Retool, React, Angular, or Vue.js).

• Strong backend development skills with API/Lambda design.

• Hands-on expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra).

• Full-stack development proficiency, including front-end and back-end.

• Knowledge of AWS cloud infrastructure.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred).
