Key Responsibilities

As an HR Generalist Apprentice, you will be involved in various HR functions, including talent management, organizational development, and HR strategy execution. Your key responsibilities will include:

1. Human Resources and Business Partnership

  • Gain a broad understanding of Microsoft’s business and HR operations.
  • Align HR functions such as employee benefits, pay, and compliance with overall business goals.
  • Work closely with different departments to drive HR initiatives effectively.

2. Leadership and Organizational Development

  • Learn and apply organizational development principles.
  • Support workforce planning, succession planning, and change management efforts.
  • Participate in initiatives that enhance leadership development within the company.

3. Organizational Needs Analysis

  • Collect and analyze employee data (e.g., focus groups, surveys, and interviews).
  • Identify trends and patterns to support HR decision-making.
  • Contribute to organizational diagnostics and HR reporting.

4. Communication and HR Reporting

  • Assist in preparing HR reports, presentations, and documentation.
  • Ensure clear and effective communication across HR initiatives.
  • Develop memos, reports, emails, and other professional correspondence.

5. Talent Management and People Planning

  • Support talent management efforts, including employee movement and development.
  • Contribute to diversity and inclusion programs.
  • Assist in strategic workforce planning initiatives.

6. HR Program Management

  • Help in organizing and managing HR events and initiatives.
  • Develop workback schedules and maintain checkpoints for HR projects.
  • Support HRBP in administrative tasks, including travel and communication planning.

Qualifications & Eligibility

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Internship experience in HR or related fields such as hiring, training, or performance management.
  • Understanding of employment laws and HR policies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources (HR), Legal, Business, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience in HR operations, employee engagement, and HR data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
