Overview

Join Microsoft’s community of university interns and gain real-world experience working on impactful projects. As a Customer Experience Engineering Intern, you will focus on understanding developer customers’ needs, optimizing Microsoft Security Developer Platforms (such as Entra, Intune, Sentinel, and Purview), and providing innovative solutions to improve the developer experience.


Key Responsibilities

Customer Support & Guidance

  • Utilize engineering tools and customer feedback to identify product defects, misuse, or configuration issues.
  • Provide guidance on configurations and deployments using Microsoft platforms.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve customer issues, escalate incidents, and align on progress.

Insights & Optimization

  • Translate customer signals and telemetry data into actionable insights for product improvement.
  • Gather feedback on customer experiences to identify feature gaps, knowledge gaps, and misconfigurations.

Automation & Innovation

  • Contribute to automating solutions and new feature implementations.
  • Assist in identifying performance indicators (KPIs) and implementing changes for optimization.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Partner with program managers, software engineers, and customer support teams to unblock customer incidents.
  • Participate in discussions to learn customer usage patterns and provide valuable insights.

Qualifications

Required

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Math, Business, or a related field.
  • At least one semester of school remaining post-internship.
  • Knowledge in React, Angular, .NET, Java, Android, or iOS Swift.
  • Strong communication skills.

Preferred

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
