Lenovo, a global leader in technology solutions and innovation, is currently hiring for the position of Digital Technology Analyst in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. This full-time role is part of Lenovo’s Global eCommerce team, focusing on MarTech enablement for Lenovo.com. The role entails working closely with digital marketing teams globally and contributing to the development of customer-facing web features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Web Development & Troubleshooting: You will be responsible for browser-based development, focusing on customer-facing features within the application. The role involves debugging complex JavaScript tags, APIs, and data discrepancies, and presenting best practices to solve these issues.
  • Collaboration: This role requires cross-functional collaboration with Lenovo business teams, IT, third-party vendors, and other stakeholders to implement new technical capabilities on Lenovo’s eCommerce platform.
  • Market Research & Compliance: Stay updated on changing market trends, such as cookie-less tracking, privacy compliance, and first-party data collection.
  • Tag Management & Web Analytics: Work with tools like Adobe Launch, Tealium, and analytics products like Adobe Analytics to manage and optimize digital marketing strategies.

Requirements

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with Chrome Debugger, Charles Proxy, Firebug, BI tools, databases, and SQL.
  • Web Analytics: Experience with analytics tools like Adobe Analytics and Webtrends.
  • Presentation Skills: The ability to effectively communicate findings and present them to management.

Responsibilities and Position Requirements

  • Familiarity with tools such as Chrome Debugger, Charles Proxy, Firebug, mobile debugging, various BI tools, databases, and SQL languages
  • Experience in digital marketing and web analytics products such as Adobe Analytics, Webtrends and other analytics tools
  • Have working knowledge on tag managers like Adobe Launch, Tealium suite of products or equivalent
  • Effectively troubleshoot and analyze complex issues related to JavaScript Tags, APIs, Data Discrepancies and general front-end code languages, identify possible solutions, and present recommendations & best practices
  • Become an expert in the suite of Adobe/Tealium products and
  • Conduct market research on tools & technologies, keep up with changing market trends like cookie less tracking, first party data collection, changing privacy compliances etc.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in order to achieve desired results, on time.
  • Able to work across various time zones; off-hours and long hours as needed
  • A clear sense of accountability & ownership
  • Effectively builds & delivers presentations to all levels of management.
  • Knowledge of JIRA, Adobe Analytics

 

Required Degree:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field: A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Digital Marketing, or a related technical field is typically required. Candidates with backgrounds in these areas will have the foundational knowledge necessary to handle the web development and digital marketing aspects of the job.

Key Technical Skills:

  1. Front-End Development:
    • JavaScript: Strong knowledge of JavaScript is essential, as the role involves troubleshooting and optimizing web applications. You will be working with JavaScript tags and APIs, so expertise in this language is critical.
    • HTML/CSS: Understanding web development fundamentals will help with troubleshooting front-end issues and implementing new features.
  2. Debugging & Troubleshooting Tools:
    • Chrome Debugger, Firebug, and Charles Proxy: Experience with these browser-based debugging tools is important for identifying and resolving issues related to the front-end code.
    • Mobile Debugging: Ability to troubleshoot mobile web applications, ensuring consistency across devices.
  3. Web Analytics & Digital Marketing Tools:
    • Adobe Analytics and Webtrends: These platforms are critical for tracking user behavior and analyzing site performance. Familiarity with these tools is necessary for measuring the success of digital marketing initiatives.
    • Tag Managers (Adobe Launch, Tealium): Experience with managing web tags and implementing tracking through tools like Adobe Launch or Tealium is required to ensure accurate data collection and analysis.
  4. Data Management and SQL:
    • SQL: Strong knowledge of SQL and databases is important for managing large datasets and generating actionable insights from web analytics and other data sources.
    • Business Intelligence (BI) Tools: Familiarity with various BI tools to support data-driven decision-making is advantageous.
  5. API & Data Analysis:
    • Understanding and troubleshooting APIs is required, especially when it comes to analyzing data discrepancies or performance issues related to front-end functionalities.

Additional Technical Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of JIRA: Familiarity with JIRA for project management and tracking tasks in an Agile environment is often expected.
  • Market Research on Emerging Trends: A key part of the role involves keeping up with changing trends, such as cookie-less tracking, first-party data collection, and evolving privacy compliances.

Preferred Soft Skills:

  1. Problem-solving: You should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially when troubleshooting complex technical issues related to front-end code and APIs.
  2. Collaboration and Communication:
    • The ability to work cross-functionally is essential as this role requires collaboration with digital marketing teams, IT, third-party vendors, and business teams. Clear communication is key for delivering presentations and conveying technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  3. Accountability and Ownership:
    • You must have a sense of accountability and ownership over the projects you manage, ensuring that deadlines are met and solutions are effectively implemented.
