About the Role

As a Robotics Research Intern at Gahan AI, you will work with an innovative team focused on developing Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGVs). This hands-on role involves designing, testing, and integrating electronic and electrical systems with robotic hardware. You will work with Robot Operating System (ROS2) and C++ to develop autonomous navigation and control systems for various vehicles, from autonomous mobile robots to larger vehicles like SUVs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test robotic systems and components.
• Integrate electronic and electrical systems with robotic hardware.
• Utilize ROS2 with C++ for path planning and control of UGVs.
• Develop simulation models for Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation.
• Work on large-scale real vehicle prototypes, including AMRs, golf carts, SUVs, and heavy vehicles.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in electronics and robotics.
• Stay updated on advancements in robotics and AI technologies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Solid understanding of electronics and electrical circuitry.
• Proficiency in ROS2 with C++ (mandatory).
• Hands-on experience with robotics projects or internships.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Python, Java, or other programming languages.
• Familiarity with sensor integration, data processing, and deep learning.
• Experience in computer vision and relevant research publications.
