About the Role
Amgen is looking for an Associate Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain software applications. The role involves collaborating with product managers, designers, and engineers to build scalable solutions and automate operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of complex software projects from conception to deployment.
- Manage software delivery scope, risk, and timeline.
- Rapidly prototype and translate concepts into working code.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
- Contribute to front-end and back-end development using cloud technology.
- Develop innovative solutions using generative AI technologies.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Maintain documentation on software architecture, design, deployment, and operations.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges effectively.
- Collaborate with product and business teams.
- Develop and implement applications, including custom reports and system integrations.
- Perform unit tests, integration tests, and other quality assurance measures.
- Maintain and enhance application performance and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (0 to 3 years of experience).
- Diploma in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (4 to 7 years of experience).
Must-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience with Full Stack software development.
- Proficiency in Python (preferred), JavaScript, SQL/NoSQL.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Experience with API integration, serverless computing, and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of website development and localization processes.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Knowledge of information systems and network technologies.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Grafana).
- Knowledge of data processing tools like Databricks.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
