Role Overview
As a Software QA Engineer on the Network Security team, you will collaborate with developers and product managers to enhance Barracuda’s firewall products. The role involves testing appliance-based and cloud-based firewall solutions in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirement Analysis: Work with development and product teams to interpret business and functional requirements.
- Test Infrastructure: Develop, extend, and maintain test environments in on-premise and cloud setups.
- Test Case Design and Execution: Create and perform functional, regression, and end-to-end tests to ensure product quality.
- Defect Management: Report, manage, and analyze defects using tools like JIRA.
- Collaboration: Ensure comprehensive test coverage through teamwork with global cross-functional teams.
- Documentation: Provide detailed root cause analysis for identified defects.
Tech Stack and Skills
- Networking Fundamentals: Understanding of firewalls, protocols, and routing with a passion for continuous learning in this area.
- Linux OS: Basic knowledge of Linux.
- Scripting/Programming: Familiarity with programming languages is a bonus.
- Cloud Architecture: Knowledge of networking fundamentals in public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) is advantageous.
- Virtualization: Experience with Docker or virtualization solutions is a plus.
- Software Testing: Prior experience in testing or Agile development is preferred.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical fields, or equivalent practical experience.
