About the Role
Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm, seeks a Software Developer to join its Post-Trade team. This team handles middle and back-office operations such as P&L, reconciliation, regulatory compliance, and treasury functions. The role involves leveraging technology to innovate and enhance these systems.
Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Software Developer to join our Post-Trade team.
Post-Trade division is responsible to manage the firm’s new generation of middle and back-office functions including books and records, P&L, reconciliation systems, fees, regulatory reporting and surveillance – and further to achieve efficiency in treasury and finance accounting functions through technological innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance the Post-Trade Platform, including tools for:
- Reference data management
- Trade capture
- Reconciliation and P&L
- Surveillance, compliance, and regulatory functions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and implement user requirements.
- Build reliable, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
- Innovate in middle and back-office application processes.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent from a top institution.
- Experience:
- 0–3 years of relevant experience.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Python, Java, shell scripting, and Linux systems.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Elasticsearch) databases.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Desirable:
- Experience with electronic trading systems and financial instruments (equities, commodities, forex, etc.).
- Strong communication skills with fluency in English.
