Role Overview
Synopsys is seeking a motivated DevOps Intern to join its team. This internship offers hands-on experience with advanced DevOps tools and practices, fostering collaboration between development and operations teams to ensure efficient system operation. Interns will contribute to infrastructure development, process automation, and system monitoring while supporting compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining on-premises/cloud infrastructure.
- Collaborate with development teams for seamless application deployment.
- Automate deployment processes using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system issues to identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines.
- Support adherence to security and compliance standards.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and sprint planning sessions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and deliver project milestones.
Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance standards.
