Barclays Product Developer
The Product Developer role at Barclays offers a unique opportunity to shape data-driven insights for HR decision-making, with a focus on cutting-edge technology and automation. Located in Chennai or Pune, this permanent role will involve creating data and MI products to enhance customer experience and support HR metrics analysis.
Role Overview
As an HR Product Developer, you’ll transform complex HR data into meaningful insights, facilitating strategic decisions across Barclays. This includes designing and implementing BI solutions, automating data processes, and building custom queries to address specific business needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Transformation and Automation:
- Use automation techniques for data extraction, transformation, and output (ETL).
- Generate actionable insights from HR data, ensuring high accuracy.
- BI Solutions Development:
- Design data models, dashboards, and reports to communicate KPIs, trends, and performance to management.
- Develop data marts, data warehousing, and reporting solutions.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work with stakeholders to identify data needs and recommend data solutions.
- Communicate complex technical responses to non-technical audiences.
- KPI Monitoring and Reporting:
- Analyze KPIs to identify patterns or anomalies affecting performance, offering recommendations for improvement.
- Continuously improve and automate reporting metrics.
- Risk and Control Management (Assistant Vice President Level):
- Provide consultative support for resolving escalated issues and mitigating risk.
- Engage in complex data analysis and stakeholder management.
Required Skills
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced skills preferred) and experience with SQL, ETL, and relational data structures.
- Familiarity with data automation (Power Query, VBA, macros) and data reporting platforms (Power BI, Tableau).
- Exposure to Qlik Sense, Workday, or MS Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) is a plus.

- Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.

- Willingness to learn and adopt new technologies, with an emphasis on cross-training and upskilling.
