Team Overview:
The Secure Policy and Access (SPA) team at Cisco is developing a next-generation suite of services for the Intent-Based Network. This role offers the chance to work with cutting-edge technologies for both on-premise and cloud environments, delivering real-time insights for network, security, devices, and applications.
Role Overview:
As a Software Engineer – Test, you will engage in:
- System Testing and Automation to ensure high-quality product performance.
- Working in a distributed, highly automated Agile environment, contributing to the development of scalable software solutions.
- Performance and Scale Engineering to meet enterprise-grade requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform system and performance testing in collaboration with a distributed development team.
- Automate testing processes to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
- Ensure seamless performance and scalability of software solutions.
Qualifications:
- Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science (CS) or Electrical Engineering (EE).
- Programming Proficiency: Skilled in a programming language (Java, C/C++, or Python).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, networking, virtualization, cloud computing, DevOps, and CI/CD concepts.
- Soft Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, a collaborative mindset, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
